Why has this site still got that irritating delay when posting to seeing your post ?
I thought this was going to be a Bells and whistles site ?..and no I don't want to press another button to see it straight away..

It's only a second or 2 !!! ... wind ya neck in ................

There's no real problem posting up ........... the delay is hardly an issue ............ I don't understand your, shall we say..... enthusiasm ........ this forum's great.

Its the members who'll make it worthwhile !

Mine is absolutely instant. I will get Matt to look at what could be causing you problems on Monday. Are you using Internet Explorer 7 or 8?

Apologies if you experience a delay greater than a second or two.

There is no coded delay when placing a post, the delay of a second or two during the "thank you for posting screen" is the time that the reply is posted to the relevant database and then redirect and refresh the page you posted on in order to display you newly added reply.

The time delay is minimal and the few second delay is more than likely due to the speed of your internet connection as it refreshes the page rather than anything to do with the site or the forum construction.
