can anyone tell me is it safe to wear a motocross type helmet on a ski (sit down) or do you have to have a special type just for jetsking any info would be a great help

Complicated answer this .......... yes you can wear a MX lid ........... racers wear them, as they are the only ones with ACU gold star, which the sport governing body will accept ...............

It's not however the best lid to wear in many peoles opinion, as they get wet, and heavy, and are a pian to maintain.

Gecko make a PWC specific lid which has a removal/plastic/blow up bladder ........ which gives craking field of vision, which is usefull at speed, and protects ya bonce very well indeed ........ and you chin for that matter ......... handlebars and chin can come togehter a lot, a sea !

the mountain biking bell bellistic looks like a great helmet, £40 on flea-bay but i got full on mx helmet for the gold sticket & fact that i can use it for motor-biking if i so desired.

In time i might get the bellistic too-loads of vents & lighter than mx lid.
