My Fx 140 is getting up to 10.500rpm and just hitting between 55/60 mph.Ive got all the mods fitted
Riva power filter kit
velocity stack
solas impella
riva top loader intake grate
free flow Exhaust
Any Idears wot else i can do to up the rpm's and keep the reliability of the MR1 YAM motor ????????????????

Thats good speed Nick my old FX had all the same and could only get genuine low 50's.

On flat water my 215 GTX will only hit 59 on GPS and radar.

Wouldnt think there much more to coem out of that.

A Yamaha dealer with the laptop gear, can up the rpm, by around 300/400 revs .. makes a difference !!
