dear spannerman i have just bought a 2004 seadoo gti le rfi with 69.8 hours but i dont know much about it like how do i check the oil and know how much to put in is there a dip stick? is it just normal petrol i use and there is two small holes just under the bumper on the port side and one on the starboard side what are these??? is it ok for the hull to be badly scratched

Hi there , I've just bought a Yamaha XL 800 , year 2000 and just took it out for the first time yesterday. With myself, wife and child onboard it would not go faster than 10-12 kph , although with myself , it would slowly build up speed to in excess of 50 kph , sea conditions allowing , although not picking up speed every time.

Do you think the problem may be related to the pump seal , or impellor , or something else ?

Any advice would be gratefully received.
