Poole RNLI lifeboat crews assist jet-skier with serious head injury.

When the lifeboats arrived on scene they found that a jet-skier had collided with a speedboat that had two people onboard. Both vessels had drifted onto Hook sands. The man on the jetski had a serious gash on his head and required medical assitance. Portland Coastguard had scrambled the Search and Rescue helicopter so when the inshore lifeboat arrived on scene, the volunteer crew worked with helicopter to assist with lifting the injured jet-skier. The all-weather lifeboat stood by. The inshore lifeboat then escorted the speedboat back to Parkstone Bay Marina before returning to recover the jet-ski.
